On July 21, 2026, the Mukilteo School District Board of Directors unanimously voted to place a proposed $400 million school construction bond on the November 3, 2026, ballot after a similar measure earned majority voter support but did not meet Washington's 60% bond approval requirement in February.

Mukilteo School District is seeking community members to serve on committees that will prepare the pro and con statements for the Snohomish County Local Voters' Pamphlet for the district's proposed 2026 capital construction bond measure. The bond measure will appear on the November 3, 2026, ballot.

Residents of the district are invited to apply by noon on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

The Board of Directors will approve the appointments and submit the committee members' names to the Snohomish County Elections Office by August 4, 2025.
