Children need to be 5 years old by August 31st in order to be eligible to attend kindergarten.  For children whose birthday is between September 1st and October 31st, parents can opt to have their child take the Early Entrance test to see if they are eligible to enter kindergarten early.  

For children who are eligible for free lunch status, the district provides the testing at no cost to the family. To see if your child is eligible for free lunch, complete the Lunch Application and email it to HemingerJL@mukilteo.wednet.edu.

For children who are not eligible for free lunch status, parents can have their child tested by a licensed psychologist outside of the district.  

Testing results must be submitted to the school principal by the fourth Monday of August in order to be considered for Early Entrance.
