Potential delays due to Boeing workers’ strike

Dear staff, students and families, 

Boeing machinist workers announced they are on strike which began just after midnight this morning. We wanted to alert you that the increased activity near Boeing and traffic impacts may delay transportation and other district services housed in that area. We are working on alternative bus routes, but they still may be delayed with a longer route to avoid the traffic congestion. While we have typically notified families of specific bus route delays, it may be difficult to do so given the scope of the impact. We do not know how long the impacts might last but will do our best to update families as we learn more. We ask for your patience as we navigate these potential impacts. 

If you must drive in the area around Airport Road and Kasch Park Road, please be advised there may be significant delays at times. Thank you for your understanding and we’ll update you as we know more.
