Seattle Mariners Rick Rizz Awards Senior Scholarship

Congratulations to senior Katie Chandrabalan, who attends Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center and Kamiak High School, on winning a $5,000 college scholarship through the Toys for Kids Hendu Education Scholarship program!

Mariners broadcaster Rick Rizzs presented the award, which recognizes seniors for their community service and honors former Mariners player Dave “Hendu” Henderson, who co-founded Toys for Kids with Rizzs.

Katie plans to use the scholarship toward tuition as she pursues a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, hopefully at Gonzaga University or the University of Washington.

Way to go, Katie!
